It left your device encrypted
The upload page only works over an encrypted connection. Your file travels straight into Microsoft’s cloud. It doesn’t sit in anyone’s inbox or on a server in between.

It was broken apart and locked in Azure
Microsoft splits every file into chunks and encrypts each chunk with its own 256-bit key, then stores the chunks in separate Azure storage containers. The map for putting them back together is kept apart from the pieces.

It was checked for viruses
Microsoft 365 scans stored files for known malware, so nothing harmful ends up in your loan officer’s folder.

Only your loan officer can open it
Your files land in your loan officer’s private folder, behind a Microsoft 365 sign-in. Anyone else who has the same link can send files, but they can’t see yours.
Compared to email
